All you have to do is select the category you wish to compete in, complete the form and pay the entry fee and wulah! you have entered the Battle On The River.

What Is A Cut Party?

​A cut party is a high-energy social event where beauty professionals take the stage to demonstrate their cutting skills on live models. With creative presentations set to upbeat music, it's an exciting showcase of talent, technique, and artistry.

What Is A Barber Battle?​A barber battle is a competitive event where barbers showcase their skills in precision cutting, speed, creativity, and overall styling on live models. Participants go head-to-head in various categories, demonstrating their talent under time constraints and in front of a live audience. Judges score based on technique, originality, and execution, making it an exciting and high-energy competition.

Who Should Enter? 

  • Professional barbers or stylists who want to showcase their skills and promote their brand.

  • Student barbers who have developed their cutting skills and want to promote their brand to salon owners and potential clients.

  • Student or professionals who want to have fun.

How Much Is It To Enter?

​The cost to enter the cut party or barber battle is $75 Professional $25 students

What Are The Battles Categories?

There are Two Categories, Creative and Traditional.

Contestants will be judged on finished cut. Model must have 2 inch or higher on top and must be taken down to a maximum of 1 1/2.

Creative is judged on:

  • Technicality: Difficulty of haircut(20pts)

  • Precision of edge-up- quality and accuracy of the competed haircut (20pts)

  • Precision of design (must be legible, no nicks) (20pts)

  • Originality- freshness of aspect, design, or style. (20pts)

  • Total Look- Haircut must be cohesive with the model’s overall attire and have a completed look. (10pts)

  • Professionalism (Appearance of tools and sanitation) (10pts)

​​Traditional Competition:

  • Precision of edge- up- quality and accuracy of the competed haircut (20pts)

  • Blend- Seamlessly transitioning the hair on the top part of the head to the hair on the sides and lower section of the head. (20pts)

  • Technicality- Difficulty of haircut (20pts)

  • Originality- freshness of aspect, design, or style. (20pts)

  • Total Look- Haircut must be cohesive with the model’s overall attire and have a completed look. (10pts)

  • Professionalism (Appearance of tools and sanitation) (10pts)

How Much Time For Competition?

There is 45 minutes allotted for competition and 10 minutes to showcase restyled hair

What Do The Winner Get?

1st,2nd, and 3rd Trophies
